In a DA letter all you have to do is say "I (your name ) no longer consider myself to be one of JW's ." Or " I no longer wish to be one of JW's", No details needed .
Is that really the way you want to go ? You have the perfect set up now to fade . You are moving out of the family home and will be considered on your own (even though your living with relatives ) . FADE FADE FADE it is a lot of work ,but some like the ability to still talk with family . In a fade you just stop going to meetings or service ect . Just stop going and that is it ....

i'm wondering how my parents will react since i'm moving in with my uncle just in time..

I am saving your post for future reference ! I wonder if your friend will consider what you wrote to him in that email ? Honestly how couldn't he at least ponder over those words .....
I had been a witness all my life until I was 44yrs old and the final wake up call for me was the Watchtower in 2004 about allowed blood fractions . It just became so crystal clear for me that this was an organization run by imperfect men making up doctrine of their own personal interpetations . The Bible does not give ANY direction upon what blood fraction is acceptable and what is not ,Because the whole no transfusion doctrine is a manmade rule not something from Jehovah .

Well that is good to know it was your idea to move ! Then your meeting may be just to see how deeply involved you are in 'wrong doing' .
As stated before it is up to you ,but "no" the Organization has not softened their position on homosexuality .
Will you be devastated if they DF you ? If you are not ready for that then speak very carefully when they talk to you . My position is still to say absolutely nothing about your personal life .....that is between YOU and your God .

Why do you think your Dad has already planned for you to move out to your Uncle's house ?? Do you think he already knows you are going to be df'd ?
This is how the meeting with the Inquisition is going to go . Serious tone , at first they talk very softly and even kindly to you . Then they bring up the "situation that has been brought to their attention " . Questions after question will be asked ........ and then re-worded and asked again .
It is your choice how to handle it : confession to visiting the site and that is all , will probably be a reproof unless they feel you need to be taught a lesson or there are other youths doing the same thing then you become the EXAMPLE
If you admit to any thing more .....then expect Df .
To be repentant they expect lots of crying , I am sorry , I understand how wrong I have beeen , Will Jah ever forgive me .....lots of pleading for help lots of begging and more crying ..........seriously they want you to beleive you are the scum of the earth
Or if that is not how you roll .....You can tell them it was a mistake you got on the site by accident .First time ever never again .HAted what you saw ,but felt to embarrassed to tell your Dad . Be convincingly trite and humble ....lie
OR You may have never considered this but you can just politely tell them " My personal life is not open to discussion ,Thank you for your concern ,good bye " Honestly you CAN do this and walk out of the room . They can not force you to talk about something you don't want to . However the consequence could be they can do whatever they want too like df you . But at least you say yourself the humiliation of answering personal questions that are private !

What I really enjoy about your video's is that you come across very articulate and honest . I also like that you don't swear or use slang terminology . Your manner is calm and informational not angry or hateful . I think people listening will get an honest view of Witness life and beliefs from your vids. Thanks and keep it going .
I would like to try doing a video myself ,but I am sorely inept with computer stuff !

Is there 'independent' thinking going on in this congregation?
by EndofMysteries ini was told that a congregation has started taking donations for those who are struggling in this time.
they said that they mentioned how catholics, etc, have salvation army and take up donations and help the poor, but jw's don't have anything like that.
i was wondering if all congregations are starting this, or one is realizing that they haven't been in harmony with the early christians.

Our old hall did that in the past . It was something seperate from the regular KH accounts . It would not be announced from the platform just word of mouth and one brother took the donations . I remember it helped several people out in lean times when an unexpected hardship arose . I also remember a CO trying to put an END to it also . That is why the brothers kept it on the down low ,but of course someone with a personal grudge had to make a stink because it wasn't their idea .
Still even when they 'quit taking these donations' if anyone in our hall needed help those that were more fortunate usually came forward to help out personally giving the person money ,food or help .
One time we had a car accident during the drive to the assembly sessions in St Louis . Our car brakes failed and our car slid under a semi tractor trailer breaking the windshield . Family picked us up at the Hospital and took us on to the Assembly A brother and Sister from our hall slipped us an envelope with $50. in it ....we had not asked for anything and we told them no ,but they insisted it might help a bit with costs of getting our car home . We had some generous souls in our old hall when the Society wasn't trying to suck it out of them .

When you described what it was like for you as a child ....I began to tear up ......because I remember those same thought processes as a kid . It is sickening to remember . I wish I could put my thouhgts and feelings together as well as you did !
It is encouraging to hear how well you are doing now ...people need to know they can survive this religion and all it's fall-out .
Looking forward to reading more of your posts and insights .
